Doing a bit better today... I realize there's not much to be done about it. My insurance called as I had reported it, they confirmed there's nothing they can do monetary wise, but they entered it in this insurance data-base so if the bastard driver reports damage to his car, it'll send up a flag and they can catch who did it. At least it's proved not to leak in mild rain, but I'll be emptying out the junk from my trunk. (Haha.)

It's ironic though, as my parents had offered on Sunday for me to take my mom's old Ford Taurus in trade for my current car. Even though it's about six years older, it has less miles, has been taken care of wonderfully, and only has some minor quirks. And because it's older, it's made of metal instead of plastic or whatever the hell they make cars out of today, so maybe my bumper will stand up against any further infractions.

I'm only a few dozen pages off the end of Dragonsdawn; I'm not sure, as there's a lot of other books I want to read, but I'm on a pretty bad Pern kick and I might as well continue to Chronicles of Pern while the characters are still fresh in my mind. It's also significantly shorter than Dragonsdawn, so I'll likely get through it more quickly. So many books, not enough time! :c

Speaking of books, I don't believe I've shown off my Shelfari. Shelfari is a highly addictive website for bibliophies, in which you search for and add books that you have read, plan to read, own, love, or want. You can then add them to your fancy little shelf set-up, rate and give them reviews, even chose which cover is on your edition of the book. You can have friends added (someone needs to start one of these, my only two friends are my sisters *lol*) and join discussion groups. I've yet to review anything, I just rate and add... I don't know if I could ever stop if I start reviewing. *laughs* Oh, and I'm nowhere near complete with my shelf... This is only stuff I can remember having read in the last few years, or have copies of on my shelf to remind me. I haven't added all the books I own, nor the ones that I don't recall right now sitting at my parent's home. It will be EPIC.

Quite a few people would say that many creative tend to have an ego. A big ego that never turns off, but what if you don’t have any? What if you’re too shy or modest about your work that you never want to show it? Well thankfully, I don’t fall into that category. I really have not ego for my art, but I’m going to tell you the truth, I want to be popular. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be superficially popular, I want to be ‘good’ popular. I want my work to spread and be enjoyed by many people so I don’t fret when people say they want to see my work or when I show my work to others.

However, I ran into something strange. I realized that my first costumer of my works ,and not a commission, continued to buy my things. I’m glad, but since my purpose is to share my self to others more then make money, I will notice you. I talked about it a bit with my bro but I couldn’t really put my hand on it. You see, it seemed more like he bought my things because he enjoyed ‘me’ as in the art ‘me’ more then they ‘type’ of art. What the heck do I mean? well it didn’t seem like he had a pattern to like ‘certain’ things like ‘fantasy’ or ‘cute shoujo’ he just liked my work. I liked the review. It was honest and I made a mental note to change ‘book’ to ‘zine’ . I suck at English and classification and hope that I didn’t mislead anyone. Now after about 10hrs later I realized that when it came to him ordering, I would try to do a little extra, more effort, something special. I feel now that I have a weight of duty and as more people come to enjoy my works, the heavier it becomes. So here’s the question I pose my self, ‘can I handle this? ‘ . It is coming closer to my goal, but now I fear disappointing others on the base that I didn’t do what I promised (not coping out to what the ‘audience’ want but just not keeping my word). I know the feeling of disappoint with Megami Kohosei, E’s other wise, Bleach, and numerous web comics and dropped projects that I just don’t want to pass it onto my readers. Have I done this? I think I have and wish not to repeat it.

He has preordered Intricate and for that, I’m going back and re inking and toning some of my pages and creating a new cover page. I want this to look real good and hopefully get into Strawberry Comics with a bang!

You’ll never see this side of my at a con. I’m nice but will never sell my self short since I’m there to ‘sell’ my self.

Just a silly little topic on CG merch and what you may and may have not bought.

Turns out it's a bug in Wordpress 2.5 that somehow prolongs caching long past the time it ought to. I'm far from the only one experiencing it or frustrated by it.

So if you happen to go to www.projectbluerose.com to, say, PRE-ORDER PROJECT BLUE ROSE: HUMAN TOUCH, then you might find the site not looking like it's changed or like it's not got a thumbnail and link to the new page talking about All the Fishes Come Home to Roost in the sidebar. While I am in Lorain for the next few day inbetween work I decided it would be smart to transfer all of my mom's recipes to the computer so I have them on the laptop and I can print them out all nice and neat.

Well I couldn't find many that I would actually use but I found the cookbook that my mom adores. I am flipping through the book and thought it was a little silly when i saw a recipe for grilled cheese. Then I turned the page and found one for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Seriously... who cannot figure out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

It's sad when you love a character but just can't love playing them. I feel extremely guilty for holding onto Seiya as long as I did, but I kept trying to convince myself I'd get better. Still, timing and many other things caught up with me. Apologies to the cast and all that. I do hope someone apps her who can give her the right level of attention. Thanks for letting me try.

Well, I finished my supplement (I ended up typing up my course descriptions into a .doc and submitting that). I'm working on a few other parts to my actual application--the work experience, activities, academic honors, etc.--and then I'm basically done. ._.' Uh, I finished my personal essay today, after staring at it morosely for about a week, so... if anyone would plz look at it? <3 It's really embarrassing. Like, I was typing it up and thinking, "What is this crap?" It's a good thing my other essay is something I'm actually proud of. ^^; If you're feeling benevolent enough to humor me, please just comment and I'll email it to you tonight. ETA2: I manage this site with Wordpress, and thus validation errors, etc. are not really under my control. You can stop telling me about them. If they're causing a problem, I'll switch to another Wordpress theme at some point.

The problem seems to be that my Wordpress install is seemingly propagating changes I make to layout, instead of reflecting it instantly. No, I don't understand.

ETA3: Not needed, at least temporarily, as I found an updated version of the Wordpress theme I'm using and shall shortly be installing it to see if it plays better with Wordpress 2.5.1.

In a moment of synchronicity, last Friday I was invited to share some Belgian chocolates labeled individually by province. Unfortunately, the font's capital I looked much like a small l, and so when asked to choose, I said, "I'll take the leper!"

I do not often come across books containing leprosy, though when I read Darcourt I immediately regretted forgetting about the YA novel in which the heroine develops leprosy, watches her mother agonizingly die of rot, is shipped off to a leper colony, and dies, the end -- I would have certainly included it in my YA agony award nominations if I had. I was also reminded of Thomas Covenant. Normally I don't find characters whiny if they have something to whine about. But Covenant managed to be so whiny that I thought, "Oh, get over your leprosy already!"

Young journalist Sally Wainwright impersonates a friend of hers in order to get hired as governess for a wealthy teenager on Darcourt Island. The island is owned by reclusive billionaire Tristram Darcourt. Sally is ostensibly doing this to write an expose on him, but really because her mother was jilted by him and she wants to find out what happened. (She can't ask because both her parents are now dead.)

Teenage Alix is wild and has a Mysterious Skin Condition for which she takes Mysterious Meds. Darcourt is high-handed and arrogant. He is also said to have let his brother die in the super-quick quicksand which is featured in the Mysterious Marsh surrounding the house, into which Sally is forbidden to go. Sally is promply menaced by snakes and scorpions released in her room, plus Mysterious Figures, and people shooting at her, whomping her over the head, and trying to kill her dog.

Could it be the Mysterious Mrs. Darcourt, alternately said to be in the south of France and lurking in Mysterious Marsh?! Or the off-stage Mysterious Middle Eastern Group which is the subject of a code-named Pentagon study? Or Andre, who is a cousin or something? Or some blonde kid with a cowlick?

Bob was complaining about her laptop flickering in and out yesterday, and today Megumi and I found out that yes, her laptop screen is broken. So hiatus for Gremio, Anissina, and Bob until she either has that fix or replaced, but no idea when that will happen! Hopefully I'll be able to find my phone and talk to her a little more, but. :(b wish her luuck.

So this morning the Tony Nominations were announced! I've only worked at three of these in any catgories (I would have worked the Little Mermaid but I was booked for a night already when they called :(), but I'm glad to see Cry-Baby as one of the runners for Best Musical. Even though I think In the Heights will probably take it.

Of the four musicals, I wonder which numbers they're going to perform live at the actual Tony's. Like I mentioned already, the Just A Little Upset jail number was one of my favorites in Cry-Baby, so I am hoping they go for that one. Or at least one of the better ones from the show. Just anything so I can MAKE YOU ALL WATCH IT to see the hotness that is the lead. \o\ As for In the Heights (which is releasing a cast album next month, ooooh), I liked the $96,000 and the Club/Fireworks numbers so I hope they go with either of those.

I am also le'sad that Snyder didn't get nominated for Best Male Lead for musicals for Cry-Baby. ;.; Or any of the cast in those categories (or many categories in GENERAL, but). Bawww.

But yeah, that'd be all! Other than this icon being adorable.

Hey guys, has anyone played Code Geass games for PS2? Just recently received it, though at the moment I'm trying to extract any original videos in the DVD, but it failed some unapparant reason. I could extract the video, but the audio track is separated. I wonder if someone else has ripped it? Please let me know, I'm using Cube Media Player 2
